Frequently asked questions
Fees, duration, confidentiality and how to start. If your question is not here, write to me and I will answer personally.
By calling me or writing on WhatsApp. I never see a new patient without a short phone call first: in that call, which is free, I explain how I work and you tell me what you want to achieve, so I can make sure I am the right person to help you with it. If it is a fit, we schedule a first session.
Each session costs €100, the same rate for everyone. It is worth looking at the cost of the full course of treatment rather than the price of a single session: I work with therapy models that are brief by design, and most of the processes I take on close in around 5 sessions — roughly €500, spread over several months. A cheaper per-session rate, in a format that stretches on for a year, ends up costing considerably more.
It varies: it can range from a single session to a good many more, depending on the nature and complexity of the problem. I work with models that are brief by design — solution-focused, strategic and systemic — built precisely to be short, and what I observe is that most patients do not usually need more than 5 sessions. This is not express therapy: those sessions are spaced out over several months so the change settles.
There are stages in life full of difficulties we do not know how to face, leading to problems such as depression, anxiety or phobias. I help you both to treat those problems and to navigate those circumstances, giving you the strategies to face present and future difficulties with the greatest possible autonomy. You do not need a diagnosis to come: having a goal is enough.
Yes. Everything discussed in session is protected by the professional confidentiality that binds me as a registered psychologist, and your data is handled under the GDPR. The only exceptions are those set out in law, such as a serious risk to your life or someone else’s. I do not share information with anyone — not your family, not your employer — without your consent.
I am a psychologist, not a physician: I do not prescribe or withdraw medication. If during the process I believe a medical or psychiatric assessment would help you, I will say so clearly and we will work in coordination with whoever treats you. Psychotherapy and medication are not mutually exclusive.
I accept Bizum, Revolut, PayPal, bank transfer and cryptocurrencies.
Let me know at least 24 hours in advance and we will reschedule at no cost. A session that is not cancelled within that window is still charged: the slot is held for you and can no longer be offered to someone else.
The need depends on the parents or guardians. Although direct work with the child is usually more effective, sometimes (if the child is very young or refuses to go) the best strategy is to work with the parents, providing them with the tools to handle the situations and achieve the therapeutic goals.
It is not strictly necessary for both of you to attend. I can work with one of the parties to generate new patterns of communication and functioning that unblock the situation and improve the relationship.
Yes, I work in English with the same close, professional approach. I see patients from all over the world — from California to Japan — so if you prefer therapy in English, I adapt the process to your language and cultural context.
No, therapy is online only. I choose this format because it offers the same quality and effectiveness as face-to-face therapy and makes psychological care accessible wherever you are, with more flexibility and continuity.
You can also see how I work and what I treat.
Shall we take the first step?
Before a first session we talk on the phone for a few minutes: I explain how I work and you tell me what you want to achieve. No commitment.
